City for All: Supporting Civic Participation of Foreigners

- ·

This project responds to the growing need for systematic support of civic and community participation among Prague residents with migration backgrounds. It builds on the long-term cooperation between MigAct, z. s. and the City of Prague (MHMP), following up on the international UNITES project (2022–2024) which focused on the co-design of integration policies.

To address the demand for more stable, long-term engagement formats like advisory groups, the project will map successful models from other European cities. The main output will be a set of recommendations and participatory formats, highlighting specific models that can pave the way for a permanent advisory structure within the City of Prague.

The project will also feature two participatory meetings designed to deepen cooperation between the city and its residents with migration backgrounds. These sessions will open up a direct, structured dialogue between public officials and city residents, allowing them to work together on the city’s integration policies and its current integration strategy for foreigners.
